Not Every Brain is The Same and That’s Worth Celebrating
April is Neurodiversity Celebration Month, a time to recognize and celebrate that not every brain works the same way. According to Harvard Health Publishing, neurodiversity is defined as “the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one ‘right’ way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits.”
Each day at Variety, we celebrate those wonderful characteristics that make each of us unique. From our after school programs, in both Worcester and Philadelphia, to our workforce development initiatives, we remain committed to enriching the lives of children and young adults with disabilities and empowering them to navigate the world around them.
