Work Based Learning Experiences (Internships) for In-School Students

A Work-Based Learning Experience (WBLE) is an internship that provides young individuals with the opportunity to gain insight into an area or business of their interest. Over the course of 90 hours, students will work shifts at a local community business to begin learning the tasks and skills associated with that job. With support from our employment specialists, the student will seek to become more independent over the course of the experience. The WBLE helps not only to gain insight into the field of interest, but also offers a networking opportunity for participants to meet and interact with valuable community connections.
