Emily Gulick joined the Variety team in 2021 as the Greenhouse Coordinator. Emily grew up on an organic farm in Lycoming County, which developed her foundation in agriculture. She earned degrees in Horticulture and Plant Science, in addition to working for the Penn State Plant Disease Clinic. Emily also spent time out West working on an organic vegetable farm. This background has equipped Emily to oversee Variety’s three greenhouses and large garden space. Emily provides agricultural education and vocational training that is used in multiple programs at Variety. She continues to use organic growing methods and works to create an environment where all of Variety’s clients can be involved in as many aspects of the garden as possible.
