Each participant is paired with an employment specialist who works one-on-one with them on job seeking and development skills, which helps build the most appropriate plan for transition to employment in the community.
This includes support in finding open employment positions, creating relationships with an employer, obtaining employment, job task analysis to help in training the individual on the job, and supporting them until they can do the job independently. Employment specialists provide support to the participant in learning and building confidence in self-advocating! The participant will be assisted with identifying and utilizing natural supports within the workplace to further expand on their independence and success!
